Who knew ‘Ye was still pumping out videos from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy?
“Lost In The World” is one of the most epic tracks from that album, taking it’s inspiration from Bon Iver’s “Woods,” and adding in vocals by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, the Gap Band’s Charlie Wilson, and a vocal sample of the late Gil-Scott Heron. It adds up to a pretty affecting piece, even without a visual component.
The clip is typically artsy Kanye. It doesn’t totally make sense, but you can tell there was a certain vibe Kanye and filmmaker Ruth Hogben were trying to go after. Definitely worth watching.
