What’s with this hashtag bullshit?
Silly title aside, “#Beautiful” is the most listenable song Mariah Carey’s made in years. The song teams her with R&B it-dude of the moment Miguel. The two singers complement each other pretty well, even though the song sounds much more like a Miguel song than a Mariah song. That’s not a bad thing, though.
I’m pretty sure that the song will perform much better than her last two singles: “Almost Home” from Oz the Great & Powerful, and the atrocity that was “Triumphant (Get ’em).”
No word on a new album yet, but I’d assume that once the new season of “American Idol” is over and done with, there will be some sort of announcement.
