Nas keeps impressing me with singles from his upcoming Life Is Good project. The latest track to emerge is “Cherry Wine.” This Salaam Remi-produced track features vocals from the late Amy Winehouse (can you believe it’s been nearly a year already?) While in some cases, this would seem like a grave-robbing cash grab, the facts are: Winehouse was on record as a Nas stan (check “Me & Mr. Jones,” in which the titular character *is* Nas,) Remi has worked with both artists, and the two just fit together like a hand in a glove. This track is pure dopeness, and I feel as though Life Is Good might be one of Nas’s best albums to date.
