This song owns me right now. I randomly found out about this Brooklyn band because of a SPIN SXSW sampler I downloaded and am now blessed with the diamond in the rough that is Bear In Heaven. Listening to “Sinful Nature” (Off the upcoming I Love You, It’s Cool full-length) is sure to put your musical mind into overdrive. There’s bits of My Morning Jacket mixed with VNV Nation mixed with Pet Shop Boys mixed with Animal Collective with a hint of Wall Of Voodoo.
Confused yet? Good.
What it all comes down to is that Bear In Heaven is making music that defies definition which is a very, very good thing. Sit back, relax, put on the headphones and let the electronic bliss of “Sinful Nature” surround you completely.
I Love You, It’s Cool is out on April 3rd. I suggest you do yourself a favor and get it.
