We’re about a week and a half away from the release of Turn Blue, the new album from The Black Keys. The Ohio duo’s latest pre-release warning shot is the “Fever” video. A pastiche of public-access televangelist ads (well, that’s basically what they were,) this clip finds Dan Auerbach presiding over a flock and giving them all the…well, the fever. There’s a lot of sweat in this video.
It’s no “Tighten Up,” but that clip might have spoiled me for all future Black Keys videos. This year might be turning a corner as far as interesting new music goes, and Turn Blue is one of the albums I’m most looking forward to.
Also, is that a real number on the screen? I thought you could only use 555 numbers in TV, movies and videos!
