It’s part Breakin’ (he just needed a broom), part Saturday Night Fever (owning the disco), and part faux live performance all while wearing one of the douchier shirts I’ve ever seen. That’s how I’d describe Justin Timberlake’s new video for the first single from part two of The 20/20 Experience. It’s also the second video he’s released during the month of July. You may remember the video for “Tunnel Vision” which featured some nudie bits.
“Take Back The Night” is another retro-sounding song, taking hints from Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much” and Michael Jackson from the Off The Wall era. It’s my favorite song of the new Timberlake cuts, though I didn’t like the first part of the 20/20 Experience as much as most. I’ll also take it musically over “Blurred Lines” (which featured more nudie bits).
JT wants to take back the night, but at least now, he won’t be sued.
