Knee deep in their FOURTH decade of making music, Depeche Mode is back. Delta Machine is the name of their upcoming album, due out March 26th. It’s the pioneering synth-rock band’s first album in four years, and also their first album for Columbia Records.
The first single and video from Delta Machine is called “Heaven.” It’s a bit more organic-sounding. I mean, you wouldn’t necessarily recognize it straight away as the same band that made “Enjoy the Silence.” Also, it’s not the sunniest song in the world, but it’s intriguing enough to whet my appetite for the new DM album.
It’s good to see Dave, Martin and Fletcher still kicking around, eh?

Not a bad little song – as someone who actually thought “Condemnation” and “Get Right With Me” were good tunes, I like hearing that slight gospel tinge in all the darkness.

I like “Condemnation” as well, and that was the song I was going to compare “Heaven” to. Just didn’t know how on-base I was.
