It’s really sad to see what Kirk Cameron has become, if only because “Growing Pains” was one of my favorite sitcoms as a kid. His extremist Christian views have rubbed many the wrong way, and the folks at Funny or Die have joined forces with a bunch of his former child star brethren to respond to Kirk’s hurtful comments about gay people in the best way possible-with humor.
Child Celebrities Opposed to Kirk Cameron (AKA CCOKC…pronounced “cock”) is a hilarious mock-PSA co-starring many of the (now grown-up) kids from the sitcoms you know and love. Wonder what Evie from “Out of This World” grew up to look like? Well, now you know. One of the “Hogan Family” twins? So there. Brice Beckham, AKA Wesley from “Mr. Belvedere?”Also there…and looking kinda cute, too. I don’t know whether Mr. Beckham is an actual gay or just a GLS (Gay Lovin’ Straight) but if he’s dateless and finds himself in the Northeast…
Anyway, while I don’t think Kirk Cameron is taken too seriously by many people, it’s nice to have something like this to offer an opposing, supportive view. Now, if only Tracey Gold or Jeremy Miller had signed on to participate…
