The Shins are back with their first new material since 2007.
In August of last year, they announced that they were aiming to release an album through lead singer, James Mercer’s Aural Apothecary Label via Columbia Records. Later in December, the band announced on their website that the album would be titled Port of Morrow and will be released in March this year.
They announced their first single from the album today, entitled “Simple Song.” Listen to it HERE.
Port of Morrow is available March 20, but you can preorder it now.

Excited for this. I’ve missed the Shins dearly. (Although Broken Bells was a nice distraction.)

It took a WHILE for that Broken Bells album to grown on me. Much longer than expected.

Same here, actually! But when I got into it, it dug in good. Actually got its claws in deeper than the second Gnarls Barkley album, which I also like quite a bit.
