Jill Scott & Anthony Hamilton have enough in common that a duet had to have been on the agenda for quite some time. They are among the most consistent R&B singers of the past decade or so-always solid and occasionally brilliant. They’ve also managed to maintain consistent sales (and rack up awards) despite just about zero love from the pop world (they’ve each got three Gold or Platinum albums despite having never reached the Top 20 of the pop singles chart). Teaming up makes perfect sense.
Regardless of how expected a union between the two singers may have been, “So in Love” is still pure dopeness. Perfect for launching into summer, this breezy, danceable track is the first single off of Jill’s forthcoming album, The Light of the Sun. While the track has been circulating for about a month (and has already reached the Top 20 on the R&B singles chart), the video only made it’s debut earlier this week. The breezily romantic vibe of the clip is the perfect complement to the song. How about it for feeling good?
