Does this mean that BlackSUMMERSnight is almost ready?

Grammy-winning soul crooner Maxwell has just announced an extensive summer tour that will take him through the U.S. and Canada. His last album and tour concluded back in 2009.

The sensual singer has recorded inconsistently since arriving on the scene in 1996 with Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite. He’s only released three studio albums and an MTV Unplugged set since then. His aforementioned upcoming album has been rumored to be coming out for four years. FOUR LONG YEARS.

Having seen the man perform back in 2001 (with Alicia Keys as his supporting act,) I can verify that he has a great live show. Also, the reaction he provokes in women is damn near unparallelled. In 20 years of show-going, the only folks I’ve seen get a similar rise out of the ladyfolk are Prince and Johnny Gill.
