Man, I guess I’m in a duo frame of mind lately. Tributed Hall & Oates last week, just posted The Black Keys’ new song, and now Steely Dan has announced tour dates.

The Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame duo of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker have been going strong for four decades now. Fagen released an excellent solo album, Sunken Condos, last year. They certainly have a wealth of classics to choose from-you can’t go wrong with any of their albums, and their ’70s and early ’80s material (up through Fagen’s The Nightfly) is impeccable.

I caught Donald Fagen on tour a couple of years back with Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs (as the Dukes of September) and he is a surprisingly engaging, funny and strong-voiced frontman. I certainly recommend checking ’em out.
