If I wasn’t anticipating Toni Braxton & Babyface’s Love, Marriage & Divorce (out February 4th,) before, then new cut “Where Did We Go Wrong?” has moved me up a level from “I’m really curious to hear this album” to “I MUST HAVE THIS RECORD NOW.”
Beautifully sad, this track recalls ‘Face’s career-defining hit “When Can I See You” and the vocals are absolutely exquisite. ‘Face has used his falsetto sparingly over the years, but on this song, he’s good enough (from a composition and vocal standpoint) to rival the best of Smokey Robinson.
Killer track. Man, 2014 is starting off pretty well, eh?

Is this the sequel to Drama, Love, & Lationships?

Heard this song a few weeks back. The beginning reminded me of a Tony Rich track. Agreed! I like this song better than “Hurt You”, though both are great. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a “can’t miss” album, but this is there for me.

Yep…definitely a “can’t miss.” Very excited for this one.
