If “Take It” had come out in 2001, it would’ve been #1 for a month.
In 2012, it’s still pretty dope, although it’s highly unlikely that it will return either of its’ participants to the top of the charts.
LL Cool J reminds you why a) no rapper makes better love songs than he does and b) he’s one of the greatest to ever do it.
Authentic Hip-Hop is the name of the legendary emcee’s upcoming album (due in February,) and if there’s more joints like this on it, I’m in. Please, though–no Nicki Minaj/Wiz Khalifa/you know the routine guest shots. PLEASE.
