Dan Auerbach’s a busy man. In the next 30 days or so, you’ll get to hear his production on the new Ray LaMontagne album (the release date of which I’m still a bit fuzzy on) and you’ll also get a brand new album from Dan’s day gig, The Black Keys.

Turn Blue comes out May 13th, and Dan and his partner Patrick Carney have just unveiled the title track. I’m getting a smoother, more soulful vibe than the one that normally emanates from the duo. It’s a little different-but certainly not the shock to the system that LaMontagne’s “Supernova” was.
