Ryan Montbleau’s a name that I’d heard intermittently over the last few years. I didn’t investigate the man’s music until I actually met him, though.
Shame on me-the Massachusetts-based singer/guitarist has an appealing folk-meets-soul sound that’s more eclectic than my descriptors may indicate.
His latest release is “All Or Nothing,” a collaboration with Tall Heights that gives me some serious Ryan Adams/Ray LaMontagne vibes. If you’ve read this site with any regularity over the last five years, you’re probably well aware that they are two of my favorites.
“All or Nothing” is part of a double-sided digital single that also includes a cover of Tracy Chapman’s chestnut “Fast Car.”
