So…did all of you watch Crazysexycool…The TLC Story on VH-1?
I caught the last half or so, and found it to be typical TV movie fare, based on the truth, but probably not the actual truth. Especially in light of the fact that 1/3 of the group is no longer here to tell the story. I’ll probably give it a full watch at some point-mainly because I want to see how they portray former manager Pebbles-but it’s not a burning desire. Nevertheless, kudos to the group and VH-1. 4.5 million people watched the film (more than watch a good chunk of network TV shows,) and 20, TLC’s 3rd (4th?) greatest hits compilation, is expected to chart high next week.
The lone previously unreleased song on 20 is “Meant To Be.” Written with the melodic acuity that is Ne-Yo’s trademark, it’s a pleasant if not spectacular midtempo pop/soul song. T-Boz & Chilli sound like…well, T-Boz & Chilli, and it’s a fairly somber affair that could use some levity from Left Eye. The video finds T-Boz, Chilli and Ne-Yo goofing off in the studio interspersed with flashbacks of the trio in their heyday.
Check out those Cazals on Ne-Yo, man! When did those come back in style?

Chili is really dating Ne-Yo? He trying to be the new Usher? And didn’t she learn from dating Dallas? Man. Maybe I’m just jealous.
