I’m sure that Alicia Keys is trying to spread some sort of empowerment message through her new “Girl On Fire” video. However, I’m not a girl. So I guess that’s okay?
Also…what’s the point of naming a song “Girl On Fire” if there’s gonna be no pyro in it at all? Beavis and Butt-head would not be amused.
There’s some sort of ’50s era pastiche going on here-and once again, it leaves me kind of confused. Good thing I like the song (especially in the version not assisted by Nicki Minaj.) The album Girl on Fire comes out November 27th (the week after Thanksgiving.)

Where’s the credit to Katniss Everdeen though? AKeys is trying to steal her gimmick. Here’s something I was thinking about. Compare her look to her rookie join. AKeys has lost all her swag. She’s a better “singer”, but I’d have to say that I still dig her earlier sound.

Eh, I don’t know. I like but don’t love “Girl On Fire.” I’m assuming there’ll be better songs on the album. I HOPE there are better songs on the album.
She might not have swag anymore, but her ass sure does! POW!

Hahahaha. When she first dropped, I thought she looked like the coolest home girl ever. Now, she kind of looks like everyone else. I’ll still get the joint as I have all her albums. I actually like Girl On Fire, even though there’s nothing really special about it.
