Talk about being rife with symbolism.
George Michael’s “White Light” finds him recounting his recent near-death experience after a bout with pneumonia. While the video takes a much more metaphorical route than the song does, both the aural and visual experience turn out to be quite engaging.
While there are some very familiar George Michael signposts (the singer’s dramatic “dancing,” lots of beautiful people,) it’s still good enough to consider that in addition to his physical rebirth of sorts, a creative renaissance is in the offing as well.
Again, it’s good to have the man still with us.
