Hip-hop fans look forward to the Rock The Bells festival each year. This all-star hip-hop road show often offers cool reunions as well as the opportunity to see classic albums performed in their entirety.
This year’s lineup brings together the past, the present and the future with a lineup of artists that includes (on select dates) superstars Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, J. Cole. Festival mainstay Nas will be on the tour, and there will also be appearances from legends like Big Daddy Kane, Salt-n-Pepa and Slick Rick. New Jersey’s own Redman will be pulling double duty on this tour. Not only will he and Method Man be performing their joint (heh…) album Blackout in it’s entirety, but Red will be participating in a Def Squad reunion featuring EPMD, DAS-EFX, Keith Murray and K-Solo.
The event will be hosted by RZA with special appearances by Missy Elliott & Timbaland (oh, I guess he’s hip-hop again?)
The shows are 8/18 and 8/19 in San Bernadino, CA, 8/25 and 8/26 in Mountain View, CA, and 9/1 and 9/2 in Holmdel, NJ.
