Your ears are not deceiving you. What you are hearing are basses making guitar sounds. It’s the 21st Century. Things have changed. My new favorite band of 2012, Kid Is Qual slim it down to a slick three tracks for their latest EP, Ladies Choice, and still leave a lasting impression. It’s short. It’s sweet. It’ll stick in your head and never leave — not that you’d want it to.
Featuring the previously released single “Conflict Girl“, Ladies Choice adds some choice cuts likeĀ “A.O.T.Y (Ass of the Year)”, which is destined to be the greatest summer jam ever, and the bass barrage that is “Fat Boy, Easy On My Whiskey” with Jonathan Sullivan at his robotic-voiced best.
The EP is barely three bucks and will barely take up ten minutes of your time which means you can listen to it over and over and over and over. In short, it’s awesome.
