If there was one word to sum up the sound of Marriages debut single “Ten Tiny Fingers” it would easily be this: Haunting. Featuring three members of Red Sparowes, Marriages slims down the Sparowes song length and adds vocals courtesy of Emma Ruth Rundle making for a compelling five and a half minutes that’s more a sonic journey than just a song.
On first listen, it seems like Marriages could even be filling the void left by Isis. If the intertwining bass and guitar drones weren’t enough indication then the crash of sounds in the middle of “Ten Tiny Fingers” should be enough to convince you.
