The Singles Bar: Trampled By Turtles’ “Alone”
by Popblerd Staff on Jan 27, 2012 • 12:00 pm 3 CommentsIf you were wowed by the likes of Mumford & Sons last year, I urge you to check out Duluth, MN’s Trampled By Turtles. Drawing from the same well of Americana and folk influences (and with cooler beards,) this band has built a groundswell of support up over the past couple of years. I’ve seen them live twice in Boston-first at the Middle East Upstairs and most recently at the Paradise, where they rocked a sold-out crowd about as hard as a set of dudes with fiddles can rock a crowd.
Their new album, Stars & Satellites, comes out this April. They recently released the album’s first single, “Alone” (awesome), some tour dates (including another date in Boston-awesome), and a little featurette video that gives you an idea of their sound if you’re not familiar. Definitely worth checking out.

I like the build up on this one. Color me interested in their forthcoming album.

They’ll be at the Paradise in April. Let me know if you want to go.

I’d definitely be down. I’m sure I can drag along a few like-minded friends as well.
