Even if you don’t know who Munk Ciano is by name, it’s very likely you’ve heard his music somewhere. The Boston-based singer/songwriter has not only been gigging for years, but has been featured on podcasts that have been syndicated around the country, and had his music featured on shows like “The Sopranos” and “NCIS” and even during the halftime show of last year’s Super Bowl.
Munk’s latest project, The Radio Says, offers up the solid pop songwriting that he’s become known for with a twist. Joining forces with a crew of well-regarded local musicians, this project has an Americana roots twist, with bits of country, blues and folk flavors seamlessly incorporated into a pop/rock framework.
Everywhere is South of Somewhere is the title of The Radio Says’ debut effort, scheduled to arrive later this year. While rehearsing for shows and preparing for the release of the album, The Radio Says has unveiled an excellent web series entitled “Subfamous”. Check out Episode 10 here, and look for more on The Radio Says on this site soon!
