Wilco’s highly anticipated eighth studio album, The Whole Love, is scheduled for release September 27th. It’ll be the first release on Wilco’s own label, dBpm Records. In advance of the album’s release, they’ve unleashed the first single, entitled “I Might”.
I don’t profess to being the world’s biggest fan of Jeff Tweedy and company, but I must say: I’m digging this song kinda hard. Hell, I could potentially hear this all over Alternative Rock radio. It’s definitely got some ear candy happening.
I generally randomly wind up with Wilco albums in my possession-either through obtaining promotional copies or getting hooked up by friends. The Whole Love might end up being their first album that I actually go to the store and drop money on as a brand new record. Good job, fellas.

This could be one of the best years for music releases in some time. It seems like every couple of weeks something comes out that I can’t wait to get my ears into

There have been many good releases out this year. While there’s not been one single album that’s knocked my socks off, there’s been a ton of solid stuff-anticipating the release schedule for the rest of 2011.
