I’m sure many of you reading will not have a problem traveling out to the California desert to see the Coachella Music Festival. Me? I’ve actually never been to a multi-day music festival, and going all the way across the country is not really on my agenda-unless I have a really good reason to do so. The lineup for this year’s Coachella has me seriously thinking about making the trek in April (key word: “thinking”).
This year’s headliners include Kings of Leon, the platinum-selling rock band (who will hopefully not encounter any pooping birds during their set), Grammy-nominated indie rock favorites The Arcade Fire, reunited critics’ darlings The Strokes, and controversial rapper Kanye West (My God, that sounded press release-y. I assure you it didn’t come from one). Other A-list acts on the build include Lauryn Hill (let’s hope she shows off on time), The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons, Cee-Lo Green, Duran Duran, Jimmy Eat World, Chromeo, PJ Harvey, Scissor Sisters and Erykah Badu. Helluva lineup.
