The hype machine is spinning in overdrive for the new Michael Jackson album coming out next week. On Thursday morning, the “Hold My Hand” video premiered. “Hold My Hand”, as I’m sure most of you know, is the first official single from the Michael project. As a song, it’s nice. As a video…it’s kind of corny. But still…nice, I guess. It’s meant to be an inspirational tribute to MJ, but it’s really hard for me to not be cynical when I feel like so many people are just doing this not to celebrate the man’s legacy, but to make their pockets fat. The sycophants don’t stop coming around just because the body’s buried, I guess.
