Those of you who don’t live in Boston are probably not aware of what a thriving music scene the city has. With music venues all over the city and tons of young people interested in jamming, it’s become a hotbed for burgeoning musicians, and much friendlier than the cutthroat vibe New York musicians seem to have.

One of the latest musical gems to arrive from Beantown comes courtesy of The New Collisions. Their Facebook page labels them as post-punk, which is kind of a “nothing” term, so I think they can be more accurately described as new wave-ish pop/rock. Picture Blondie (who the New Collisions have opened for) and Garbage having a baby together.

The band’s put together a cool video for the song “Dying Alone”. Check it out. You’ll be hearing a lot from these folks in the future.
