Public Enemy is one of those acts whose work I find hard to discuss, simply because of the fact that I don’t think I’m a good enough writer to do their music justice (aww, don’t you feel sorry for me…). So agreeing to write about their damn-near perfect 1990 effort “Fear of a Black Planet” was a challenge, to say the least. “Fear” is more vibrant, more relevant than albums half it’s age-definitely a need-to-own if you’re a hip-hop fan, whether you agree with their politics or not (I’d say I agree with their message more than I do their politics).
Anyhow, I reviewed it over on Popdose. Why don’t you mosey on over there and check it out?

Nice piece. Has Chuck D’s wife managed to make him any less homophobic?
Loved the description of “Terrordome.” And that last paragraph was simply devastating. That’s one reason I love “Harder Than You Think.”

I doubt it Sini-I would love for someone to call him out on it in an interview and see what he has to say.
