Drews & Don’ts: 6 Karaoke Songs With (Sort of) Hilarious Lyric Flubs

As you may or may not know, writing for Popblerd is merely what I do during the day; at night, I dive headfirst into the glamorous world of karaoke, where I make my money congenially badgering people into singing in front of strangers. (I also do the “Cupid Shuffle”, like, a lot. It’s a dance comprised of four simple steps, which really speaks to my whiteness dancing abilities.) But the simple fact remains that, while karaoke has gained a lot […]

Spin Cycle: Tech N9ne’s “All 6’s & 7’s”

A longtime, often-vaunted member of rap’s left-of-center underground, Tech N9ne has managed to forge a career out of being off the radar, of inspiring intense fan devotion (the Techn9cians even get their own affectionate name that sounds an awful lot cooler than Gleek or Juggalo), and of being gleefully, unapologetically off the wall. New Release Report 11/9/10: Cee-Lo, Kid Cudi, SuBo and More!

A couple of titles that have had their release dates shuffled around more than a deck of cards finally see the light today, led by Cee-Lo Green’s “The Lady Killa”. The long-awaited third solo effort from the Goodie Mob/Gnarls Barkley member has received some pretty solid reviews so far. If it’s anything like first single “Fuck You” or his cover of Band of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You”, then I’m all over this one. Cee-Lo hasn’t disappointed me yet. […]
