Singer/songwriter/producer par excellence Babyface is undergoing quite the creative renaissance.
2014’s Love, Marriage & Divorce was a solid collaboration with longtime muse Toni Braxton. The album sold well and took home a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album to boot. It was the best thing either vocalist had their name attached to in a decade if not a decade and a half.
The man his momma named Kenneth Edmonds has a new album, Return Of The Tender Lover, scheduled to hit the streets this week. First single “We’ve Got Love” has been percolating for a minute, but now we get some visuals to add to the track. The clip finds ‘Face in chill mode, noodling on his guitar and performing for a typically sexy crowd. The man doesn’t seem to have aged since his ’90s heyday, and it looks like his songwriting mojo has returned a bit as well. Super excited for this album. Have a look and let me know what you think!
