If you’re an old school soul fan, you’re no doubt familiar with the dulcet tones of Bobby Caldwell. His 1979 smash “What You Won’t Do For Love” has become a standard, while other songs like “Open Your Eyes” and “My Flame” also attained classic status over the years. The dapper vocalist/musician has remained active since his initial blush with success, releasing albums every couple of years and touring the world. However, for his most recent project, Cool Uncle, he has teamed up with producer Jack Splash. If you’re unfamiliar with Mr. Splash’s name, you’re probably familiar with his work: he’s sat behind the boards for wreckahds by Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, Jennifer Hudson, Cee-Lo Green and more.
