Sex is a major part of a lot of peoples’ lives. Sex is also a big part of R&B music. As you (hopefully) know, there are many different methods to doing the deed, and that’s reflected in the approaches of various singers.

D’Angelo wants sex to be a spiritual experience. Maxwell wants to go the silk pillows, wine and candles route, Bilal and Jesse Boykins III want to bone on a spaceship coming from Neptune. Raheem DeVaughn wants to bump uglies in a relatively responsible grown-folks fashion.

Miguel? He wants to fuck. The man exudes more raw sexuality than any perhaps soul music-derived artist since Prince. This isn’t neat, nice Ne-Yo or Usher sex, either. This is sweaty, snot-filled, eyes closed, fingers-digging-into-skin, speaking in tongues, breaking-the-bedframe and smashing lamps type shit.

So I guess it makes sense that the parenthetical title of his latest single, “Coffee”, is “fucking”.

The video is hot (with one million YouTube views and counting), but the song (and your imagination) generates more sparks.
