Singer/songwriter Miguel is just about to release his third studio album, Wildheart. The set comes out on June 30th-the same date as the new album by fellow soul rebel Bilal. Which means that-so far, anyway-the last day of this month is gonna be the most important day for R&B music (well, unless a major D’Angelo style release pops into the picture) this summer.
Anyway, the Grammy winner’s upcoming opus is a 12-track affair featuring guest appearances by former Dogg Pound rapper Kurupt and Miguel’s stylistic forbearer, Lenny Kravitz. First track, “Coffee”, has been heating up the airwaves, and I’ve gotta say I’m pretty psyched for Wildheart’s release.
