A little under a year ago, Toad The Wet Sprocket released New Constellation. It was the rock quartet’s first album of original material in 17 years, and it was arguably the best album of 2013. Glen, Randy, Todd and Dean returned with a thoughtful, mature set of songs that managed to step forward while retaining the band’s essential “Toad”-ness.

Fresh from a summer tour with Counting Crows, the guys release their first visual from New Constellation. The video for “California Wasted” revisits familiar lyrical territory from the band–paying attention to (and appreciating) the world around you. The message is delivered in a way that’s not heavy-handed, but it does stick with you.

If you don’t already own New Constellation, you should. Check out my review here.
