Fans of Guster have been waiting with bated breath for new material, and their wishes have been answered with the announcement of a new album.

As many bands are doing these days, Guster is asking for your help to fund the recording and promotion of the album via a Pledgemusic campaign. Click on the link to see the band announce the campaign with a little help from a variety of livestock. In typical Guster fashion, though, the options for incentives you receive after pledging are just a teeny bit off the beaten path. In addition to the options to get a download or CD of the album, you can also get live recordings of the majority of the band’s catalog, handwritten (and framed lyrics) and t-shirts. Other options include a day of outdoor frolic with the band, a skydiving trip with two members (somewhat appropriately dubbed “Shit Your Pants With Guster”) and a house party DJ’ed by Guster’s lovably eccentric guitarist/singer/Vermonter with a TV show Ryan Miller–in a Chewbacca costume.

While you’re pondering how much you’re willing to financially commit to Guster’s new record (which will be released via more traditional means early in 2015) check out their spacy new single “Long Night.”
