The best thing that could’ve happened (at least in reference to any future viewing of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon) was my television service provider making shows available for on-demand viewing. Television usually isn’t the first thing on my mind at 11:30 PM, and as much as I enjoy Jimmy Fal…er, The Roots and Jimmy’s guests, staying up to watch it can be a chore. I’d rather enjoy it on my own terms.
Fallon concluded his first week as Jay Leno’s replacement with a bang-his guest for the entire hour was none other than Justin Timberlake. The prince of pop was under the weather (which led to the cancellation of some shows on his 20/20 Experience tour) but he gamely participated in another installment of the History of Rap (which has gone viral, of course) as well as gracing us with a performance of “Not A Bad Thing.” This song is not a bad thing at all. Actually, it’s the best thing on either of the 20/20 Experience albums, and as I mentioned in my review of the 2nd installment, deserves to be a #1 hit for weeks and weeks.
Let’s hope this is the first step towards making that happen.
