It looks like we have to wait a few more months for a new De La Soul album. Their latest joint, You’re Welcome, isn’t due until the fall.
However, Long Island’s finest have already unveiled the first single, “Get Away.” Backed by a Wu-reminiscent track, Pos & Dave hold it down for true-school hip hop.
Although Pos & Dave (minus DJ Maseo) released an album as First Serve last year, You’re Welcome will be the first new De La Soul album in almost a decade. All I can say is about time.
