After suffering through a litany of throat troubles over the past several years, singer/songwriter John Mayer is ready to hit the road again.

I’m not quite sure whether this is technically a tour in support of John’s 2012 release Born & Raised, as that album has been out for a while, and in a recent interview, John said that he’s been working on new material. Might this be in preparation for a new album release in 2013? Well, a man can dream.

John will be on tour with American Idol champ Phillip Phillips in what seems like a pretty good match.
