Daniel Bedingfield has become quite the provocateur.
His latest video, “Secret Fear,” finds the British singer/songwriter cavorting with a comely woman in…a martini glass? A washing machine? Something like that.
There’s also blood. And fire.
I can’t say I understand all of the symbolism, but the song is pretty kicking. I didn’t realize Danny Boy had this much vocal range. The clip is also pretty artfully and tastefully done. Which is cool, because both principals are stark booty butt nekkid in the entire video. This means it’s NSFW, kids.
No word on a U.S. release for this. But no doubt, it’ll make the type of waves necessary for Daniel to reintroduce himself to an American public that hasn’t heard from him in a decade.
