To whet your appetite before the next QOTSA album drops in 2013 Josh Homme has unveiled “Nobody To Love”, a solo track produced by Dave Sardy for the End Of Watch soundtrack. You can definitely tell it’s a “credits song” especially with that dark piano intro. The rest of the track focuses on the low end with Homme’s signature guitar work reserved for the background. The thing that’s really unique about “Nobody To Love”, however, is the fact that even though it’s Josh Homme it still doesn’t fit inside the QOTSA/Desert Sessions mold (Much like the work he did for The Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys). This definitely bodes well if there’s a Homme solo album in the future. For now, I’ll take this for what it is: a reminder that Josh Homme is still making music and that inevitable QOTSA album is right around the corner.
