Is it 1977? Sure feels like it because the hottest band in the land, Kiss, is seemingly everywhere. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are getting ready to go out on tour with Motley Crüe in a couple of weeks and release the band’s twentieth studio album, Monster, in October. Gene is out there doing interviews (there’s a particularly good one with our buddy Matt Wardlaw over at Ultimate Classic Rock.com) and the merch is flowing as strong as ever, including a $4,000 coffee table book, that, well, is the coffee table.

Kiss just released the first single and accompanying video from Monster, “Hell and Hallelujah”. They’ve never been known for their subtlety, and this track sounds like it will be a huge, head-banging, fist-pumping bombastic orgy at the sheds this summer, complete with a chorus made for shouting out loud. Just perusing KissOnline, it looks like the faithful members of the Kiss Army are taking to it.

The video is fairly simplistic but surprisingly contains pics of original members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, an interesting inclusion since Gene continues to slag those guys any chance he gets.

Take a look at the video below and watch that your head doesn’t bang into your monitor.
