Jay-Z and Kanye West continue their trend of releasing videos for songs that have been in the public consciousness for months.
“No Church In The Wild” is the 88 Keys-produced, Frank Ocean and The Dream-featuring lead track from Watch The Throne. It’s arguably the album’s best track, with evocative lyrics and excellent production (am I gushing too hard?)
The video’s pretty arresting (pardon the pun.) With the police riot and the elephant at the end, I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that they’re making an anti-Republican political statement (you know, Jay and Obama are BFFs) but regardless of what the video’s intention is, it’s a pretty solid watch. Check it out.
Also worth noting: neither Jay nor Kanye appears in the video.
