Barely a month away from their latest opus Freak Puke and we finally get a taste of what Melvins Lite is all about. Don’t be frightened! Melvins Lite is essentially Melvins circa 1993 with the band operating as a 3-piece with usual co-conspirators King Buzzo and Dale Crover being joined by none other than Trevor Dunn (Fantomas, Mr. Bungle) on bass.
“Leon Vs. The Revolution” sees Buzzo laying down some of his chunkiest riffs yet. Crover packs a wallop behind the kit even without the backing of Coady Willis and Trevor Dunn has no problem fitting in within the sonic barrage.
Freak Puke will be released by Ipecac on June 5th.
