Rihanna, I’m trying with you…
I’ve been side-eyeing the fact that you’ve been increasingly reliant on titillation as of late. I breathed deeply at the fact that you went back and recorded not one, but two duets with Chris Brown. But I’m really starting to lose patience with you, and your latest video, for “Where Have You Been” isn’t helping.
She’s probably more dressed than she’s been in her last several videos, but still.
I guess it doesn’t help that the song is the most derivative piece of music she’s put out since her debut, with a strong flavor of “We Found Love,” her Calvin Harris-produced dance/pop jam that’s still all over the radio.
Granted, I haven’t picked up Talk That Talk in a minute, but she could’ve done better than this. Right?
