I had the pleasure of checking out Deer Tick in concert a few months back, and what I saw was a show that can only be described as a drunken mess-but in the most awesome way possible. These guys (from right next door in Rhode Island) are as rock ‘n roll as it gets. In the search for holiday music, I stumbled upon the website for Deer Tick’s label, and guess what? Deer Tick has a holiday EP out. I went onto iTunes and downloaded the hilariously titled “Holy Sh*t, It’s Christmas”, and guess what, folks? It’s a drunken mess-but in the most awesome way possible. The band’s website calls it Tony Clifton-esque…guess I have to rent “Man on the Moon” to see if the comparison makes sense.
