Cee-Lo covering Southern rock is something that should happen more often. First, the singer/rapper covered Band of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You”. The bearded troubadours then returned the favor by taking on ‘Lo’s “Georgia”.
Now, on the eve of his third solo release “The Lady Killer”, Cee-Lo has blessed us with his version of Kings of Leon’s current smash single “Radioactive”. It’s not as good as the original, which I’m still ridiculously in love with, but the man more than holds his own. Digging this tune and although it won’t be on “Lady Killer”, I’m more than looking forward to Cee-Lo’s album next week.
